Kincoppal-Rose Bay offers Scholarships that provide support for tuition fees to eligible students

Scholarships are offered, at various times, in the following categories: 

Academic Scholarships (OPEN)

Available for female students entering Years 7, 9, 10 and 11 for the duration of their secondary education (subject to satisfactory progress). The Scholarships are awarded on the performance of the students in the Scholarship Examination, and congruence of values with the school.

All-Rounder Scholarships (OPEN)

Available for female students entering Years 10 and 11 for the duration of their secondary education (subject to satisfactory progress).  All-Rounder Scholarships are awarded on performance in the Scholarship Examination to students who have also demonstrated qualities of leadership at school, in their local community and/or through participation in a variety of co-curricular activities.

The Alison Stephen Scholarship (Currently Closed)

Available for a female student from regional NSW. The Scholarship covers full tuition and boarding fees for the duration of time the student is at Kincoppal - Rose Bay. The Alison Stephen Scholarship will be awarded to a student whose family can demonstrate financial need and who would not be able to attend Kincoppal - Rose Bay without this assistance.

The Margaret Kirkpatrick Scholarship (OPEN)

From time to time this Scholarship is available for a student from regional NSW. The Scholarship covers full or partial fees (including boarding fees) for the duration of time the student is at Kincoppal-Rose Bay. The Margaret Kirkpatrick Scholarship will be awarded to a student whose family can demonstrate financial need and who would not be able to attend Kincoppal - Rose Bay without this financial assistance.

The Bill Burcher Foundation Scholarship (Currently Closed)

From time to time this Scholarship is available for a Senior School student. The Scholarship covers full tuition fees for the duration of time the student is at Kincoppal-Rose Bay School (Year 7-12 inclusive). The Scholarship will be awarded to a student whose family can demonstrate financial need and who would not be able to attend Kincoppal-Rose Bay without this assistance. As well, the student will be required to sit for an examination and be able to demonstrate congruence of values with the school. 

The KRB/AIEF Scholarship Program

Offers boarding school scholarships to Indigenous students who meet the AIEF and KRB Eligibility Criteria, which include being eligible for ABSTUDY and enthusiastic about attending boarding school. These scholarships are available at KRB. For more information contact Admissions on admissions@krb.nsw.edu.au

The Ian Duncan Choral Scholarship (Currently Closed)

Available to female students entering Year 10 for the duration of their secondary education (subject to satisfactory progress). The Choral Scholarship is awarded on their performance in the Scholarship Examination, as well as an audition, to students who also demonstrate a willingness to actively participate and show leadership in the music and choral programs at the school.

The Sister Philomene Tiernan rscj Bursary (OPEN)

The Kincoppal-Rose Bay School of the Sacred Heart community has established a Bursary in honour of the memory of Sister Philomene Tiernan rscj who died tragically as a result of the Malaysian Airline crash on 17 July 2014. This has come about as a result of the wishes of many past and current students and parents who would like to honour Sister Tiernan and create a lasting memory for her in an area to which she was so dedicated.

The Sister Philomene Tiernan rscj Bursary has been established to provide financial support to students from country NSW or QLD whose families wish their daughters to have a Sacred Heart education but who are in financial need.

It will be awarded to a student:

  • who comes from a regional area in NSW or QLD and is not currently attending Kincoppal – Rose Bay School
  • who can demonstrate financial need and who would be unable to attend Kincoppal – Rose Bay School without this assistance
  • whose family is able to demonstrate support of the goals of Sacred Heart education
  • who can demonstrate the ability to contribute to the school community

Interview with the Principal

An interview with the Principal for shortlisted candidates is an integral part of the process of awarding Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded at the Principal’s discretion.
